Synopsis

Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, Les Misérables follows the journey of Jean Valjean, a former convict seeking redemption, as he is relentlessly pursued by Inspector Javert. Along the way, Valjean’s life intersects with a host of characters, including the tragic Fantine, her daughter Cosette, the valiant Marius and the revolutionary student Enjolras.
