Synopsis

Maude, a tough and unemployed bartender, believes she’s struck gold when she discovers what she thinks is a Jackson Pollock painting at a thrift store. Her claim draws the attention of Lionel, a stuffy art expert from New York. As they spar over the painting’s authenticity, questions about art, class and the nature of truth emerge, leading to surprising revelations and plenty of laughs.
