Synopsis

Funny Girl chronicles the life of Fanny Brice, a young woman from New York’s Lower East Side who dreams of a life on the stage. Despite doubts from her friends and family about her unconventional looks, Fanny’s unmatched comedic and vocal talent propels her into the spotlight. As she climbs the ranks of the Ziegfeld Follies, becoming one of its biggest stars, her personal life unfolds with equal parts humor and heartache, particularly in her tumultuous relationship with gambler Nick Arnstein. Featuring iconic songs like “People” and “Don’t Rain on My Parade,” Funny Girl is a poignant and entertaining tribute to one of Broadway’s most celebrated talents.
