Marilyn Sharp
Marilyn Sharp, soprano, is currently based in Central Florida. Her past engagements include Milada in the premiere of Unbroken: The Anthemic Life of Milada Horakova, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Micaëla in Carmen, Despina in Così fan tutte, La Maestra delle Novizie and Prima Sorella Cercatrice in Suor Angelica, Mrs. Nordstrom in A Little Night Music, Lucy in The Telephone and Gretel in Hansel & Gretel. An active concert performer, she has served as guest soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah, Vivaldi’s Gloria and Haydn’s Creation as well as a guest artist with The Gainesville Orchestra in their 40th Anniversary Ruby Gala. She has also done background vocals and chorus work on Sarah Brightman’s A Christmas Symphony Tour, Andrea Bocelli’s Valentines Tour and SQUARE ENIX productions NieR: Automata Orchestra Concert. In addition to classical repertoire, Sharp regularly performs in jazz, musical theatre and rock venues demonstrating a versatile range of music genres. She completed her Masters of Music in Vocal Performance at the University of Florida.
