Jo El Snyder

Jo El Snyder is a multifaceted talent in the world of theatre, currently serving as the Vice President of JaxPlays, Inc. She earned a degree in Theatre Arts from Jacksonville University, where she was recognized with the “Artistic Excellence and Academic Achievement in the College of Fine Arts” award in 2008. A passionate student of Shakespeare, Jo El spent a transformative summer in England, highlighted by a memorable encounter at The Globe Theatre. There, she was chastised by stewards for sitting during a performance of King Lear because she had a “Groundlings” ticket, which requires standing.

Formerly the lead makeup artist for several productions at Jacksonville University, Jo El brings a unique blend of artistic vision and leadership to her role. She continues to be a driving force in promoting and preserving the arts in Jacksonville and beyond.
